Manchester United and Chelsea are two teams that will be desperate to make a point next season. The Red Devils will be eager to dominate their noisy neighbors and give Jose Mourinho the Premier League title he badly craves.

Chelsea, for their part, will be looking to wipe their slate clean off the utter joke of a title defense that was last campaign and go into the new one afresh with hope.

However, in order for both these sides to make a strong running at their respective goals, a flurry of talents must arrive first. Now, a common reinforcement may have been contacted and a saga could commence.

According to France Football (via The Sun), both the English clubs have contacted Pini Zahavi, the agent of Robert Lewandowski, and are looking to sign him for their attacking ploys next season.

While both the clubs had invested in strikers last season, with Morata and Lukaku being key arrivals to England, this deal has been on the talks for a while.

In the case of Chelsea, Morata may not have proven to be the striker they badly needed, and the Reds have found themselves overly reliant on the Belgian striker, who has also been a tad bit overwhelmed.

As a result, the world-class Pole is an apt signing to look into, and Chelsea appear to be the leading bidders as per the report.

However, the lack of solid confirmation comes through the uncertainty over their next manager, and this could certainly prove to be the chance that United needs to capitalize upon.

Suggestions have also been made that Mourinho could look to accommodate the 29-year-old by selling Anthony Martial and changing the formation up a bit. However, how this will work with their midfield talent remains to be seen.

Chelsea, on their part, seems intent on partnering Morata with an apt talent.

Why United Is The Only Club Lewandowski Could Join If He Leaves Bayern

Manchester United are the only option for Robert Lewandowski if he decides to leave Bayern this summer.

Lewandowski is one of the best strikers in Europe at the moment. The Warsaw-born forward made his name on the international stage when he left his country for Germany, and joined Borussia Dortmund in 2010 for a reported fee of €4.5 million.

In his four season with the club, he won 2 Bundesliga titles and helped them reach the 2012/13 Champions League Final.

Bayern Munich then snapped him up with the hopes of continental glory. But Lewandowski has failed to win the Champions League trophy with the Bavarian side as well.

Last month, his agent Pini Zahavi confirmed that the striker wants to make a move away from Germany. Real Madrid and Manchester United are the two clubs that have been suggested as his possible destinations.

But Los Blancos aren’t as interested now, after he was unsuccessful in scoring against them in the Champions League semi-final.

Before leaving for Russia, the striker reportedly held talks with Bayern officials, telling them that he wants to make a move. Club president Uli Hoeneß confirmed these reports, and suggested that Lewandowski will be sold only if they receive the right offer.

According to a report in Kicker, Manchester United are the only club who have shown ‘serious interest’ in signing Lewandowski this summer. This would come as a big blow for the forward, as he was eyeing a move to Real Madrid.

Gareth Bale To Join Manchester United Under One Condition

Jose Mourinho wants to add a striker to his ranks this summer, as he isn’t confident with Rashford. The English international failed to perform when Romelu Lukaku was out towards the end of last season.

According to Metro, Bayern Munich have set a £175 million price tag on the Polish international. This high valuation might have put off a number of clubs, as there are numerous cheaper options available in the market.

Augsburg defender Philipp Max hopes to complete a dream move to Manchester United this summer.

Jose Mourinho is said to be interested in improving his defensive options in this transfer window. The Manchester United boss has already added Diogo Dalot to his ranks, with the youngster likely to replace Antonio Valencia in the coming seasons.

The Red Devils are now looking to sign a left-back ahead of next season. Mourinho isn’t happy with the performances shown by Luke Shaw over the past two seasons.

In fact, doubts have been raised on whether the Englishman will stay due to his strained relationship with the Portuguese boss, thereby pushing United to look at other options this summer.

Media reports believe that Alex Sandro is one of the top targets for United. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Mourinho is keen on adding the Brazilian in case Shaw leaves.

However, the Mancunian giants keep encountering roadblocks to broker a deal with the Juve star, which is why the Old Trafford outfit is preparing alternative options in case they fail to sign Sandro.

German left-back Philipp Max is one of the names linked with a move to Old Trafford.

The Augsburg defender provided 13 assists in 33 appearances in the Bundesliga last season. His performances weren’t enough to get him a spot on the flight to Russia, but they have surely caught the eyes of some top European clubs.

In fact, Max is intrigued by the possibility of joining his favourite club, as a source close to him shared some info to CalcioInsider.

“He is keen to move up in the career, he loves the Premier League and is ready to join Manchester United – his favourite club. Philipp is the best (left back in Germany) and at his peak now, Augsburg would want around €40m,” the source revealed.

The 24-year old’s contract with Augsburg runs until 2022. Philipp has shown his abilities in one of Europe’s top leagues, and would be a great addition to Mourinho’s squad this summer.

MASSIVE NEWS: Ronaldo Makes An ‘Irreversible’ Decision To Leave Real Madrid

REUTERS/Susana Vera

Cristiano Ronaldo’s future has once again made the headlines of Portuguese newspaper Record.

The Portuguese international helped Real Madrid to four UCL titles in the last five years, and the EURO16 win with Portugal has made him one of the best players the game has ever seen.

The 33-year-old is the talisman of the current Real Madrid squad, but time and again, his future at the club has been up for debate.

He was extensively linked with an exit even last summer, but stayed back. However, that may not have been a long-term decision, as he himself revealed right after the UCL final in Kyiv last month.

WATCH: TRANSFER NEWS & RUMOURS 2018

The reigning Ballon d’Or winner claimed he will be talking about his future in the days to come, but is yet to reaffirm the club’s fans that he is staying in Spain for another year.

United Told To Appoint Zidane, Who’ll Bring Ronaldo And Bale

And to add fuel to such rumours, Record have now made a huge statement, claiming that Ronaldo will quit Real this summer. ‘Ronaldo vai sair do Real’ reads the newspaper’s front page today.

They claim that Ronaldo is unhappy with the unfulfilled promises from club president Florentino Perez, and has finally made a decision about his future. Moreover, his decision to depart is ‘irreversible’.

7 Things That Will Happen If Ronaldo Joins Manchester United

This story comes on the back of claims from Spanish TV football programme El Chiringuito, which state that Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo’s agent, was left dissatisfied after recent showdown talks with the Madrid hierarchy.

They suggest that the talks have left Ronaldo feeling pensive about his future, and that he has finally decided that it is the right time to move away.

Record also added that the former Manchester United superstar wants to stay in Europe, with clubs from Italy, England, and France likely to attract him.

Liverpool Star Has Already ‘Agreed Deal’ To Join Real Madrid

Liverpool Star Has Already ‘Agreed Deal’ To Join Real Madrid
Liverpool's Mohamed Salah celebrates scoring their second goal with Sadio Mane.

Liverpool were embarrassed quite well by Real Madrid during the Champions League finals. The English sides’ follies ensured that Los Blancos took home a third consecutive UEFA Champions League title.

But since then, a lot has transpired at both clubs. Zinedine Zidane leaving as Madrid’s gaffer has to be the biggest talking point of the lot, as both clubs have pursued big-name talents of their own.

However, Madrid could be all set to put in another big blow to Liverpool, and this time around, it could arrive in the form of a star player.

As per France Football, Sadio Mane has agreed to become Real Madrid’s inaugural signing for the summer.

WATCH: 10 Transfers That Will Be Completed Soon | ft. Griezmann, Mahrez, Dalot

It is believed that the transfer was one of the wishes of Zidane, and the fulfillment of the deal now hangs on whether or not the incoming gaffer at the Bernabeu will wish to carry on the chase to convince Liverpool to sell.

Mane was a scintillating presence for the Merseyside club last season, and along with Mo Salah, was instrumental in their fairly Premier League and heroic Champions League antics.

RELATED:

PHOTO: Real Madrid Trio Mock Liverpool At Anfield

The 20 goals and 9 assists he bagged in all competitions will ensure that the Reds will play hardball, and perhaps not even let the deal go through.

Meanwhile, their own pursuits have been quite busy too, with Nabil Fekir being their primary target.

While multiple sources slated the deal to be all but done, Liverpool Echo reports that Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is being tough to negotiate with, and is demanding that the deal take place only after the World Cup has finished, in a bid to draw a bigger amount from the sale of the Frenchman.

As far as exits go, multiple sources have confidently declared that Emre Can is now a Juventus player, and has agreed to a four-year deal amounting to €5 million every season.

The German is set to undergo his medical next week, and the deal will come into effect once his current Liverpool contract expires at the end of June.
