Watch What Happened When Cavani Asked Neymar For A Penalty Once Again
Since the advent of Neymar to PSG, the argument over who would take free-kicks and penalties were prevalent, with Edinson Cavani being the counterpart.
The first occurrence was marked in September, when the French capital club won against Lyon. Nonetheless, it was followed on numerous other occasions. There was even a time when the former Catalan pleaded the Uruguayan to take a penalty.
With the dispute’s exposure getting greater every day, it was settled temporarily, as the 25-year-old evidently won the battle and started taking penalties further.
Watch: What Will Happen If Neymar Joins Real Madrid?
However, a peculiar incident materialised last night, as the Parisiens squared off against Troyes in a league fixture.
Prior to the half-time interval, the Parc des Princes outfit was awarded a penalty, and accordingly, Neymar picked up the ball intending to score a goal, with his side still tied 0-0.
However, the Uruguay international bravely stepped up and asked his teammate to take it, and surprising the supporters around the world, the Brazilian obliged.

The incident was expectedly followed by reactions on Twitter. A few claims that Neymar is a better candidate when it comes to penalty kicks rather than Cavani, and the striker should hence let the star signing take up the responsibility.

Nevertheless, the gaffer is positive that the duo will get along eventually, and had recently conceded that the pair “need each other” to succeed at the Parc des Princes.
Emery spoke further, saying: “Neymar and Edinson both possess the quality to be the best in the world. Their characters heavily influence their performances on the pitch.”
Although there hasn’t been much dispute between the attacking duo, if they were to get along, PSG’s offence could shape up like never before, as they’d then possess the calibre to perform even better exquisite plays. The boss, along with supporters, is confident that that day will arrive sooner or later.

2018 FIFA World Cup draw: Qualifying teams, date, time and how to watch
Conte To Spoil Mourinho’s Transfer Plans With Shock January Move
Whoever Man United express their interest in, it appears that Chelsea must make an attempt on that player too. That was certainly the case for Romelu Lukaku in the summer, and in the windows to follow, the London club might give their Mancunian rivals yet another headache.
As per a report in Sports Bild, Antonio Conte is highly eager to make the signing of Mesut Ozil in an attempt to bolster his attacking midfield options.
The same source cited the German playmaker to be a ‘hot candidate’ and the first priority over their initial target of Everton’s Ross Barkley. The latter is believed to have been extremely close to making a move to Stamford Bridge on the 2017 summer deadline day.
Ozil’s contract is set to expire in the coming summer, which means that the 29-year-old playmaker can start negotiating contracts in January, if not make the permanent move in the winter itself.
Barcelona too, were highly interested in making the signing, and were willing to purchase him in the upcoming window rather than wait till he becomes a free agent.
Meanwhile, Mourinho would have certainly preferred the latter option, as the rapport that the two share from their days back in Madrid ought to be enough to tip the scales in favor of the Red Devils.
In this regard, the Blues seem to have no advantage whatsoever, and their presence will solely be a delight for the Gunners, who can potentially see a bidding war erupt as a result of Conte’s interest.
Besides, all parties might have to wait until the summer itself if Ozil and Wenger decide to run the contract until the end of its tenure. Fans will be eager to see which way the tides move by the time January rolls in.

Lionel Messi Will Be Proud Of What Lingard Did Against Watford
Manchester United showcased a notable performance as they went up against Marco Silva’s men.
It was a quite sensational fixture on its own, however, upon the marking of the 84th minute, Watford were only one down, pressurizing their opponents to a great extent, which evidently got their supporters to the edge of their seats.
As the Red Devils endured a nervy last few minutes, Jesse Lingard stepped up and scored a beautiful goal, sealing the 4-2 victory.
The Englishman picked up the ball just inside his own half and went on a splendid solo run, beating all the defenders before finishing sweetly with the utmost composure.
Furthermore, regardless of being a distinguished goal, he played it down when he spoke about it to BT Sport, posterior to the final whistle.
“We had to calm down after that (the penalty) and regain composure,” he proclaimed. “With the fourth goal, it kind of settled everyone down. I saw space in front of me and saw there wasn’t a lot on and I’m glad it went in.”
The 24-year-old is not always the favourite man of the United supporters, but it certainly looked as though he was on that day. The reactions on Twitter further supports that fact:

With a couple more years left on his contract, Jose Mourinho will be looking forward to more such contributions from the English international. Hopefully, the midfielder can please the gaffer, and just as importantly, the fans too.

Manchester United On Red Alert As Winger Admits He Could Leave PSG
Javier Pastore has admitted that a move away from Paris Saint-Germain is a very distinct possibility in the summer.
The Argentine has been out of favour at the Parc des Princes, and understands that he will face an uphill struggle to win his place back ahead of the likes of Neymar, Julian Draxler and Kylian Mbappe.
PSG’s front-line is one of the most lethal in the world at the moment, and there seems to be no room for Pastore in it.
Recently, Eric Cantona gushed over Pastore during an interview with a fan channel on YouTube, and revealed that he would absolutely love to see the 28-year-old pull on the Red jersey someday. With his future up in the air at the moment, that could turn out to be a very real possibility.
Once again, Pastore was snubbed for PSG’s victory over Monaco on Sunday, and was just given the last eight minutes to play. The frustration eventually got to the Argentine and after the game, he admitted that he is genuinely considering a move away from the club.
“I was disappointed,” he said. “I always want to play, I do not play important matches like in the Champions League or today against Monaco. It was more or less like that all year long.
“I have already said it, I’m going to think about my future but the important thing is to try to help the team during the ten minutes that I enter the field.”

Explained: Italy Could Still Make A Shock World Cup 2018 Appearance
Football giants Italy were left a sorry figure after their defeat over two legs in the 2018 FIFA World Cup play-offs against Sweden to mark a big shock especially after failing to qualify for the coveted tournament after 57 long years.
The 2006 winners weren’t the only big side though. The Netherlands, Chile and USA too misses out from the tourney to be held in Russia next year.
But now suddenly there is a glimmer of hope for Italy to make a shocking appearance in place of Peru. The South American nation, who qualified for football’s biggest carnival after overcoming New Zealand in the qualifier play-offs, run a risk of missing out.
According to a report in Libero, Peru’s national team has seen state interference in the country’s FA. Congresswoman Paloma Noceda is in the favour of the Institute of Sport to control the football association.
And the report claims that due to FIFA’s stance on governments meddling in football, officials could exclude Peru from the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
With the football’s governing body having the rights to replace Peru with a team of its choice, a report in Tuttosport claims that Italy could now be considered if a ruling of such instance is passed. This also depends on whether Peru’s Institute of Sports gets a nod to control the FA.
Although the chances are minimal of this happening, Italy’s little hope still lingers on if the reports end up gaining substance.
Italy are currently ranked 14th amongst the world’s best teams in the official FIFA rankings. The Azzurri had finished 2nd in Group G of the qualifiers behind Spain and eventually succumbed against Sweden in the play-offs earlier this month.
