Jose Mourinho’s vibrancy as a manager is undoubted. The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss has commanded a magnetic personality that has always attracted players. The winning style he employs is often a key factor during transfer windows, with the potential to tip the scales in favour of Manchester United.
And now, it certainly seems that a player who featured under him before at Chelsea wishes to do so again. Eden Hazard’s time under the Portuguese manager was cut short when Mourinho was given the sack at Chelsea two seasons ago, at the heels of a Premier League winning campaign in 2015.
In a recently interview with RTL, the Belgian forward stated: “Of course [I would enjoy working with Mourinho again]. I like facing him also as an opponent. If we were to work together in the future it would be with pleasure.”
Further, the 26-year-old added: “There have been a few [bad times in my career]. We have had a few managers over time, which is not great. Mourinho was sacked the year after we won the league. In terms of selection, I have known some highs and lows too. It wasn’t always great.”

Over the years, Hazard has risen to great prominence at Stamford Bridge and has delivered performances that have courted comparisons to footballing greats.
The forward also expressed his desire to play under Zidane, by saying: “Everyone knows the respect I have for Zidane as a player, but also as a manager. He was my idol. I do not know what will happen in my career in the future. However, for sure, to play under Zidane would be a dream.”
But he underlined the session with a strong intent to stay with the London giants and give his best: “I am enjoying life at Chelsea. I still have a lot of things to achieve with them. I am focused on playing for Chelsea.”
Despite that, it will be interesting to see what the Old Trafford management makes of the comment, and whether they elect to do something about it.
