Manchester United are the only option for Robert Lewandowski if he decides to leave Bayern this summer.

Lewandowski is one of the best strikers in Europe at the moment. The Warsaw-born forward made his name on the international stage when he left his country for Germany, and joined Borussia Dortmund in 2010 for a reported fee of €4.5 million.

In his four season with the club, he won 2 Bundesliga titles and helped them reach the 2012/13 Champions League Final.

Bayern Munich then snapped him up with the hopes of continental glory. But Lewandowski has failed to win the Champions League trophy with the Bavarian side as well.

Last month, his agent Pini Zahavi confirmed that the striker wants to make a move away from Germany. Real Madrid and Manchester United are the two clubs that have been suggested as his possible destinations.

But Los Blancos aren’t as interested now, after he was unsuccessful in scoring against them in the Champions League semi-final.

Before leaving for Russia, the striker reportedly held talks with Bayern officials, telling them that he wants to make a move. Club president Uli Hoeneß confirmed these reports, and suggested that Lewandowski will be sold only if they receive the right offer.

According to a report in Kicker, Manchester United are the only club who have shown ‘serious interest’ in signing Lewandowski this summer. This would come as a big blow for the forward, as he was eyeing a move to Real Madrid.

Jose Mourinho wants to add a striker to his ranks this summer, as he isn’t confident with Rashford. The English international failed to perform when Romelu Lukaku was out towards the end of last season.

According to Metro, Bayern Munich have set a £175 million price tag on the Polish international. This high valuation might have put off a number of clubs, as there are numerous cheaper options available in the market.
