Valencia starlet Carlos Soler is reportedly “begging” his current employers to approve his transfer to Manchester United in the January transfer window.
The 20-year-old burst through the ranks at the Mestalla last season, when he made 20 starts in 26 first-team appearances. He has started all of Valencia’s 11 La Liga matches this campaign, and has already bagged 4 assists and 1 goal to show for his impressive performances.
But as per The Sun, the Spanish under-21 star could leave Los Che once the transfer window re-opens in January, as he has “demanded” his side to draw up a suitable deal with Premier League giants Manchester United, who are willing to shell out £45 million for his services.
Red Devils’ manager Jose Mourinho is said to be desperate to bring in more quality players in order to strengthen his midfield. The Old Trafford club has been over reliant on star midfielder Paul Pogba, and the Portuguese is looking to minimize it by bringing in Soler.

However, the move for the coveted youngster won’t be a straightforward £45 million transaction, as Valencia have him tied down with a colossal £71 million release clause. But United could simplify the process if they decide to sell their on-loan player Andreas Pereira in addition to the cash deal.
Marouane Fellaini could also be used in order to settle the deal between the two European heavyweights, as the Spanish club is believed to be keen on signing the Belgium international.
Soler hasn’t completely ruled out to stay put with Valencia, though, as Spanish football expert Guillem Balague posted a video of the player talking to Spanish radio station Cadena Cope on his twitter account, which saw the highly-rated midfielder stating that he was “focused on Valencia”.
The Spaniard stated: “You already know it, I’m focused on Valencia. Regarding those things [Manchester United rumours] I know nothing. It would be foolish to think about those things right now.”
